Hi Faithfulness!

*cough cough* havent fully recovered from my illness... but then i had to go to UMAD 5!!! haha.. lots of shouting cheering and screaming (for Alex).. tats y i'm still voiceless =)

anyway.. just wanna say how happy i am that Alex and Marcus had such a great time and fitted in with everyone! Can really see how everyone took care of them and how they enjoyed themselves.. =) I'll let them tell u more in their own reflections entry!

so basically UMAD 5 for me is really a great experience.. really learnt some key lessons and i particularly enjoyed the games! as compared to UMAD 4.. i had much much less to do.. besides being in the worship teams and leading bible study sessions.. being the oldest in the group .. i was given the responsibility to teach and help the group leaders along.. =)
If u observed closely.. this UMAD is different from other UMADs because of the sheer number of young young youths involved in key roles! from the committee all the way to the group leaders.. u can see many sec 1s to sec 4s...

the CYM leaders deliberately chose to take a step back and only play a facilitating role..
and i'm really encouraged to see how everyone rose to the occasion.. nevermind the small hiccups along the way! we are all learning as we serve and i'm sure this camp has allowed the youths themselves to have greater ownership of CYM...

notice that Lindsay, Anne and Junie were group leaders this time round.. even though they are only sec 1 and 2.. they have showed a sense of responsibility and willingness to learn... tats y they were given the opportunity! =) in addition.. shermay and many others were also involved in the games committee...
i hope that this will also serve as an encouragement for u all!! haha to not think that you are too young to serve! most important thing is to be available and say 'YES' to God.. asking Him to teach u new things as u take up new responsibilities.. as such.. i would like to ask that we all consider starting to serving the Lord in small ways..
